What is Necrofort?

Necrofort is a 2D action roguelike built around one loop: survive, collect, upgrade, repeat. Each run puts you in an arena where hordes spawn in escalating waves. You move constantly, thin the crowd, and grab whatever drops so your build gets stronger before the next wave hits. When you die, the run ends, but the permanent research you unlocked carries over to the next attempt. That mix of a fresh run every time and progress that sticks is what keeps you coming back.

Moving and firing in the arena

You spend a run kiting the horde and firing back. Movement is the whole game, so keep circling and never stand still.

Using the pulse

The pulse is your panic button. When enemies close in from every side, fire it to buy space and reset your position instead of getting surrounded. Learning when to hold it and when to spend it is most of the survival skill.

Classes and combat modules

Before a run you choose a class, and during the run you combine combat modules to shape how you fight. The modules are where builds happen: two runs with the same class can play completely differently depending on what you stack.

ClassYour starting kit, picked before you drop in
Combat modulesEffects you combine mid-run to build your loadout
Research upgradesPermanent boosts bought between runs that carry over
Pulse abilityAn on-demand move that clears space around you

Threat levels, missions, and daily runs

Necrofort layers several ways to keep playing past a single survival attempt. Higher threat levels raise the difficulty and the reward. Missions and contracts give you goals to chase, and a daily run gives everyone the same seed to compete on.

ModeHow it works
Threat levelsMultiple difficulty tiers; harder zones pay out more
Missions and contractsObjectives that reward you for hitting specific goals
Daily runA shared seed you can replay to chase a better time
ResearchSpend earnings on permanent upgrades between runs

Is Necrofort free and unblocked?

Yes. Necrofort runs entirely in the browser, so it works unblocked at school or work anywhere browser games are allowed. There is no download, no install, and no account. Open this page, press play, and you are in. It plays on desktop, phones, tablets, and Chromebooks.

Tips to survive longer

What makes the runs stick

Necrofort works because failure is never wasted. A run can end in two minutes, but the research you bought and the class you learned both come with you. That short gap between dying and starting a better attempt is the hook, and the daily run gives you a reason to try the same fight one more time.
